Google Ads Permissions Explained

Glimmio uses Google's OAuth 2.0 to access your Google Ads account. Here is what is requested and why.

OAuth scopes requested

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords

This is the single scope used by the Google Ads API. It covers reading campaign data, performance reports, keyword data, and search term reports. It also allows making changes to campaigns (budgets, pausing, keyword management) when you approve an action.

What we do NOT request

  • Access to your Google Drive, Gmail, or any other Google service
  • Access to your Google Analytics data (separate integration if needed)
  • Access to your personal Google account information beyond name and email for login
  • Billing information from your Google Ads account

Where your data goes

Campaign data is stored in Glimmio's PostgreSQL database, scoped to your workspace, and never shared with other customers.

Revoking access

You can revoke Glimmio's access from Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access → Glimmio. Access can also be removed from Settings → Integrations → Google Ads → Disconnect in Glimmio.
