Meta Ads Permissions Explained
Glimmio uses the minimum Meta permissions required to deliver its features. Here is exactly what each permission does.
Permissions requested
ads_management
Required to read your campaigns, ad sets, ads, and make changes when you approve an action. Without this, Glimmio cannot execute any approved changes.
ads_read
Required to read ad performance insights (impressions, clicks, spend, conversions, ROAS). Used for all analytics and recommendation logic.
business_management
Required to access your Business Manager account to discover which ad accounts are available for you to connect.
pages_read_engagement
Required to read your Facebook Page information, which is used as context for ad creative recommendations.
What we do NOT request
- Posting on your behalf on Facebook or Instagram
- Accessing your personal Facebook profile or friends list
- Reading your private messages
- Accessing your billing information
- Accessing other Business Manager apps or pages you manage
Where your data goes
Campaign data read via Meta permissions is stored in Glimmio's PostgreSQL database, scoped to your workspace, and never shared with other Glimmio customers. Data is used only for analytics, recommendations, and actions you approve.
Revoking access
You can revoke Glimmio's access at any time from Meta Business Settings → Connected Apps → Glimmio. Access can also be removed from Settings → Integrations → Meta → Disconnect in Glimmio.
